Mad World是英国乐队Tears For Fears在1982年创作的早期作品之一，由Roland Orzabal创作和乐队贝斯手Curt Smith演唱。Mad World是乐队发行的第三首单曲也是第一首榜单热曲。20年后，因为电影《死亡幻觉》(Donnie Darko)在片尾使用了 Michael Andrews 和 Gary Jules创作的叙事版本Mad World,使得此曲再度走红，这一版本在2003年12月达到了英国热销单曲的首位，同时，这首单曲也被用于视频游戏Gears of War的宣传片中。女声版有Alex Parks演唱。中文翻唱版有阿桑的《疯了》。 2009年美国偶像中的亚军Adam Lambert也翻唱过这首歌曲，在当时再次掀起热潮。
