Swallow The Sun简介
2000年春原芬兰摇滚乐队PLUTONIUM ORANGE的吉他手John Raivio创建了Swallow the Sun，不久曾经同在一支乐队的Pasanen加入STS担任鼓手，他们排练了几首歌，其中一首Through Her Silvery Body就来自首张demo《Out of This Gloomy Light》。
2001年老友Jamsen加入担任节奏吉他，Kotamaki担任主唱，后来由相继找到了其它乐手形成完整的阵容，2002年乐队以该阵容完善了首张demo并于2003年1月录製混音。几个月后乐队有幸得到了Doom专业户Firebox的契约，于03年7月末进入录音棚录製了他们的首张正式专辑《The Morning Never Came》，不愧为芬兰乐队，营造的氛围是有杀伤力的。
2005年2月，他们发表了第二张正式专辑《Ghosts of Loss》，单曲Forgive Her在唱片发表第一周内就荣登芬兰Top 20的单曲榜第四位，并在榜单上停留了六周。他们的专辑同样登上了排行榜第八位.在2006年期间，他们签约了Spinefarm Records并举行了一次小规模的欧洲巡演。
2007年1月，他们发行了第三张专辑《Hope》，成为了我在07年最爱的专辑之一。事实上,swallow the sun从一开始就从未曾让我们失望过,他们的音乐从来就是华美与悲怅并存,大气中满含忧伤,庄严中亦极失落,感性哀婉的吉他旋律极尽华丽的美感,也最让人黯然神伤...
Anette Olzon简介
安妮特-奥尔森曾是夜愿（Nightwish）的歌手，现已经退出Nightwish，安妮特是在2005年通过公开招募加入的，她原来是瑞典古典摇滚乐队艾莉森大道(Alyson Avenue)的主唱。
